In the Archives and Special Collections are watercolor reproductions of three University of South Dakota buildings: Slagle Auditorium (now called Aalfs Auditorium), the Law Library (now called the Arts and Sciences Building) and the Coyote Student Center (demolished in 2007, current location of the Muenster University Center).
These images were created by Gray’s Watercolors. To view the images and for a description of how these watercolor reproductions were made, please see Gray’s Watercolors web site at http://www.grayswatercolors.com/index.htm. The buildings from Vermillion are listed at http://www.grayswatercolors.com/images/bystate/SouthDakota/Vermillion/index.html. I believe some of the buildings attributed to USD are at SDSU.
The Archives and Special Collections copies are in the Alumni Association Collection and the Buildings, Other Structures, and Utilities Collection.
If you know when the images of the University’s buildings were made, please contact the Archives and Special Collections.
